ABMC centennial documentary: "Our Promise"

To mark a hundred years of commemoration, ABMC released a unique 56-minute documentary, "Our Promise: 100 years of the American Battle Monuments Commission."

This year, the American Battle Monuments Commission is celebrating its centennial, having been established on March 4, 1923.  Throughout its history, ABMC has been proud to honor and recognize fallen U.S. service members with Memorial Day events at its cemeteries and memorials.

ABMC will honor the 79th Anniversary of D-Day landings through a commemorative ceremony at Normandy American Cemetery, France, June 6, 2023, at 11 a.m., local time.

This month, the American Battle Monuments Commission celebrates Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month, a national observance that honors the perseverance and legacy of Asian and Pacific Americans and their contributions to the nation.

Seven ABMC cemeteries will participate in the 8th edition of Le Printemps des Cimetières, a French national event dedicated to the discovery of funerary heritage, to happen May 12, 13, 14, 2023.
