The American Battle Monuments Commission’s (ABMC) Flanders American Cemetery is located in Waregem, Belgium. It is the smallest ABMC cemetery in the world and the only World War I cemetery in Belgium.

UPDATE: After almost three years of restoration works, the Montfaucon American Monument is reopening to the public who can now access the inside of the monument and climb the 234 steps to get magnificent views of the nearby battlefield.

Rhone American Cemetery will host a ceremony on August 16, 2023, at 11:30 a.m. to mark the 79th anniversary of the Allied landings in southern France during World War II.

Attendance is free and open to the public.

To mark a hundred years of commemoration, ABMC released a unique 56-minute documentary, "Our Promise: 100 years of the American Battle Monuments Commission." The unique
