A tall brick building houses the chapel at Netherlands American Cemetery

Netherlands American Cemetery observed Dodenherdenking, the Dutch version of Memorial Day. Throughout the Netherlands, the remembrance begins with two minutes of silence. At the cemetery this was then be followed by “Taps” and the playing of the U.S. and Dutch national anthems.
