Netherlands American Cemetery observed Dodenherdenking, the Dutch version of Memorial Day, on Sunday, May 4, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. The ceremony observing this Dutch holiday included playing the U.S. and Dutch national anthems, two minutes of silence, “Taps”, and the lowering of the U.S.

Brittany American Cemetery will host a ceremony specifically honoring paratroopers on June 1. This event will include a CV-22 Osprey flyover.

Ten World War II veterans, along with family members, will visit Brittany American Cemetery on June 8 for a short ceremony.

The South Netherlands Philharmonic and the Brabant Choir performed at Netherlands American Cemetery on September 14, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. for their annual concert marking the liberation of the area during World War II.

Intended for school age audiences, this film is set in 1943 and tells the story of two boys living in German-occupied South Limburg that are friends despite coming from two very different families--one a member of the Dutch resistance and the other supporters of the Netherlands fascist movement.

To commemorate the 70th anniversary of Operation Dragoon, two ceremonies were held at Rhone American Cemetery on August 16, 2014. Memoire de Provence, a local re-enactment group with period uniforms and vehicles, honored our fallen with a wreath-laying ceremony.
