Netherlands American Cemetery will host its annual Memorial Day ceremony on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at 3 p.m. Attendance is free and open to the public.
If you are a family member of someone who is honored at the cemetery and you are planning to attend the ceremony, please email the cemetery at least two weeks prior to the event.
MEMORIAL DAY UPDATE – NETHERLANDS AMERICAN CEMETERY
Due to the recent weather conditions and for the safety of visitors, parking on cemetery grounds will not be permitted.
Vehicle entry to the cemetery and parking on site will not be permitted after 12:00 PM
If you are attending the Memorial Day ceremony at Netherlands American Cemetery this Sunday, May 26th, please use one of the options below:
- Bikes and motorcycles are allowed in the cemetery.
- Use public transportation, bus no. 350 stops at the entrance.
- Book a taxi.
- Use the drop off zone at the cemetery front gate: please follow traffic rules, a U-turn is not allowed.
- Walk to the cemetery.
Cars can be parked in the town of Margraten or Cadier en Keer, it will be a 20–30-minute walk to the cemetery.
If you have a reception ticket, please use this ticket to access the shuttle buses at Margraten City Hall to travel to and from the cemetery. They will depart at 13:30.
All cars with a special parking pass, or cars with a disability pass are allowed to enter the cemetery and park in the designated area.
Keep in mind that the grass is not suitable for parking on Saturday either, we will have limited parking space available on the asphalt, please avoid visiting by car.
