Notes
Airman Apprentice Willhoite was a serviceman for the F4U-4 Corsair fighter with Fighter Squadron 783 aboard the USS BON HOMME RICHARD (CV-31). On October 2, 1951, while preparing the planes for launching, he lost his footing and was blown into the propeller of a plane behind him.
