Private First Class Turner was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
Notes
Private First Class Turner served with the 187th Airborne Infantry Regiment during the Korean War. He was Wounded in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on July 20, 1953 and returned to duty on October 29, 1953. He died of other causes on April 28, 1954.
