Corporal Trimble was a member of Company G, 2nd Battalion, 26th Marines, 3rd Marine Division. On April 6, 1968, he was killed while fighting the enemy by small arms fire near Khe Sahn, South Vietnam. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
