2nd Lt. Thomas was initially listed as Missing in Action with Dec. 9, 1945 as an Administrative Date of Death. Following the war, his remains were recovered and repatriated to the U.S. for burial. His name is permanently engraved on the Walls of the Missing at Manila American Cemetery.
