Lieutenant Taylor, U.S. Naval Reserve, was a member of Attack Squadron 152, Carrier Air Wing 16 aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS ORISKANY (CVA-34). On August 29, 1965, he was the pilot of a Douglas Attack Skyraider (A-1H) over North Vietnam when his aircraft crashed. His remains were recovered on April 25, 2000 and identified on August 21, 2001. His name is permanently inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
