Notes
Corporal Scheffer was a member of Company C, 1st Battalion, 32nd Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division. He was wounded by the enemy in South Korea on September 23, 1950 and returned to duty on September 27, 1950. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in South Korea on December 1, 1950. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
