Commander Ricker, U.S. Naval Reserve, was a member of Military Assistance Group 13, Vietnam. On October 28, 1968, he was the co-pilot a Douglas Trainer Attack Aircraft (TA-4F) on a combat mission near the Demilitarized Zone. After completing their mission the aircraft headed back to Chu Lai Air Base over water, but contact was lost. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
