Lance Corporal Reeves was a member of Company D, 1st Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division. On December 23, 1966, he was killed while fighting the enemy in Quang Nam 15 miles southwest of Hui An, South Vietnam. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
