Initially listed as missing in action, non-recoverable or unidentifiable, 2LT Reber's remains were recovered and identified. His remains were returned to the U.S. for permanent interment at a private cemetery in Pennsylvania. PVT Reber's name is permanently inscribed on the Tablets of the Missing at the Florence American Cemetery and Memorial, at Florence, Italy.
