Notes
First Lieutenant O'Briant was the pilot of a F-51D Mustang night fighter with the 12th Fighter Bomber Squadron, 18th Fighter Bomber Wing. On July 30, 1951. while on a combat mission and during a strafing run on targets 5 miles north of Koksan, Korea, the aircraft's right wing came off disintegrating the remainder of the plane. He was presumed dead on July 21, 1952. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
