Seaman (E3) Lantz was awarded the Combat Action Ribbon, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
Notes
Seaman (E3) Lantz was a crew member of a PBM-5 Mariner patrol bomber with Patrol Squadron 731 U.S. Navy. On returning from a patrol on June 14, 1951, his aircraft experienced a hard landing in Manila Bay, Philippines. He drowned.
