Notes
Private First Class Kim was a member of Company L, 3rd Battalion, 34th Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division. He was taken Prisoner of War, while defending his position at the Kum River along the main road south of Seoul, South Korea, on July 8, 1950, and was forced to march to North Korea on the "Tiger Death March". He died at Camp Apex near Hanjang-ni, Korea of malnutrition and illness on December 14, 1950. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
