Notes
First Lieutenant Justus was a veteran of World War II. In Korea, he was a forward observer with Battery B, 15th Field Artillery Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division. He was taken Prisoner of War while acting as liaison officer to the Korean artillery near Hoengsong, South Korea on February 12-13, 1951 and died while a prisoner on or about May 31, 1951. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
