Private First Class Jacques was a member of Company G, 2nd Battalion, 9th Marines, 3rd Marine Division. On May 15, 1975, he was a passenger in a Sikorsky Sea Stallion Cargo Helicopter (CH-53) over Cambodian waters when it crashed. His name is permanently inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. PFC Jacques' remains were recovered, identified and in 2012 interred in the U.S.
