Lieutenant Commander Hunt, U.S. Naval Reserve, was a member of Attack Squadron 52 aboard the aircraft carrier USS CORAL SEA (CVA-43). On October 13, 1968, he was the bombardier/navigator of a Grumman Attack Aircraft Intruder (A-6A) on an armed reconnaissance mission when contact was lost. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
