Private First Class Henderson was a member of Company B, 1st Battalion, 29th Infantry Regimental Combat Team. He was listed as Missing in Action while fighting the enemy near Hadong, South Korea on July 27, 1950. He was presumed dead on December 31, 1953. PFC Henderson's remains were recovered and identified in 2016. Interment at the Highland Hills Memorial Park at Follansbee, WV. His name is permanently inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial, National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, HI.
