Notes
USMA Class of 1945, Captain Hastie was a veteran of World War II. In Korea he was a member of Headquarters, 3rd Engineer Combat Battalion, 24th Infantry Division. He was taken Prisoner of War while fighting the enemy near Anju, North Korea on November 24, 1950 and died as a prisoner on January 18, 1951. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
