Aviation Electronics Technician First Class Haskins was a crew member of a P4M Patrol Bomber with the U.S. Navy. On August 22, 1956, while Aviation Electronics Technician First Class Haskins was a crew member of a PB4Y-1P Consolidated Liberator surveillance aircraft with the U.S. Navy. On April 15, 1969, while patrolling the airspace during the Korean truce, his aircraft was shot down. His remains have not been recovered.
