Commander Glasson was a member of Heavy Attack Squadron 4 aboard the aircraft carrier USS KITTY HAWK (CVA-63). On April 12, 1966, he was the pilot of a Tanker Aircraft (KA-3B) flying from Cubi Point Naval Air Station, Philippines to return to the carrier. The Chinese claimed to have shot the aircraft down. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
