Commander Frosio was a member of Attack Squadron 12, Carrier Air Wing 1 aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT (CVA-42). On November 12, 1966, he was the pilot of a Douglas Attack Aircraft Skyhawk (A-4E) over North Vietnam when his aircraft crashed. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
