Second Lieutenant Fox was awarded the Purple Heart, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
Notes
Second Lieutenant Fox was the pilot of a F-94B Starfire fighter with the 68th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron, 6160nd Air Base Wing. On December 20, 1952, while on a combat mission, his engine caught fire, the canopy would not release and the aircraft crashed into the sea.
