Sergeant Finnie was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
Notes
Sergeant Finnie was a clerk with Company A, 1st Battalion, 32nd Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division. On December 2, 1950, he was badly wounded while fighting a delaying action near Hagaru-ri east of the Chosin Reservoir in North Korea and as he was being carried to safety on a truck when he became missing. He was presumed dead on December 31, 1953. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
