Master Chief Boiler Technician Deuso was a member of Detachment B, Mobile Support Unit, U.S. Navy. On December 15, 1970, he was a passenger in a Grumman Greyhound Transport Aircraft (C-2A) taking off from the aircraft carrier USS RANGER (CVA-61). Approximately 10 seconds after launch, the aircraft stalled and crashed into the Gulf of Tonkin. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
