Notes
Corporal Chapman was a member of Headquarters Battery, Division Artillery, 2nd Infantry Division. While repairing military telephone lines near Wonju, South Korea on February 12, 1951, he was surrounded and taken Prisoner of War. He died during the Death March from Kumhwa through Chorwon to Camp Bean on May 1, 1951. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
