Major William Brydon, a British citizen, was born in India on May 29, 1845, He was the eldest son of Surgeon-Major William Brydon of the Bengal Army. He served with the Bengal Staff Corps, Royal British Army. He died on February 10, 1890 aboard a ship en route to Texas off Colon, Panama. He was honored by a monument at the Mt. Hope Cemetery which was moved to Section F, Row 14, Grave 27, Corozal American Cemetery in 1979.
