At the last contact the aircraft was one kilometer west of Truoi Mountain, Quang Nam Province, South Vietnam. His remains were recovered on April 7, 1988 and identified on April 5, 2005 His name is permanently inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
Notes
Staff Sergeant Bobe was a member of Headquarters, United States Army, Vietnam. On March 16, 1969, he was a passenger in a Beech Ute Utility Aircraft (U-21) traveling from Qui Nhon to Hue, South Vietnam, that ran into bad weather.
