Lieutenant Commander Bisz, U.S. Naval Reserve, was a member of Attack Squadron 163, Carrier Air Wing 16 aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS ORISKANY (CVA-34). On August 4, 1967, he was the pilot of a Douglas Attack Aircraft Skyhawk (A-4E) on a strike mission against a petroleum storage area near Haiphong, North Vietnam when his aircraft was hit by a surface to air missile, exploded and crashed. His remains were recovered on March 3, 1988 and identified on April 21, 2008. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
