Leonard Gilmer Allen was born in North Carolina on July 27, 1922. He enlisted in the United States Naval Reserve and served as Fireman First Class during World War II. After the War, he was an equipment operator for the U.S. Navy. He died on December 18, 1965 and was buried in Corozal American Cemetery.
