Officer's Cook 1st Class Bernabe Alcoriza was born in Cebu, Philippines on June 11, 1900. He came to the United States and enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He served as Officer's Cook, First Class during World War II. He died while on active duty on December 5, 1942 and was buried at the Mt. Hope Cemetery. Later, he was reinterred at the Corozal American Cemetery in 1979.
