A. C. Aikens was born in the United States in 1858. He moved to the Canal Zone and worked as an engineer with the Engineering Department, Isthmus Canal Company. He lived at Culebra, Canal Zone. He died on June 13, 1905 at the Ancon Hospital. He was buried at the Ancon Cemetery, dis-interred in 1914, cremated and held in the Panama Canal Mortuary. He was buried at the Corozal American Cemetery in 1981.
