Sergeant Adler was born in New York City on November 2, 1896. He joined the U.S. Army and served during World War II. He retired from the Military Police Company at Quarry Heights in the Canal Zone then worked as a storekeeper for the U.S. Army. He died on May 22, 1949 at the Gorgas Army Hospital and was buried at the Corozal American Cemetery.
