George Achorn was born in Maine on April 14, 1870. He came to the Canal Zone and worked as a Locomotive Engineer with the Panama Railroad. He died on February 14, 1926 and was buried at the Mt. Hope Cemetery. He was reinterred at the Corozal American Cemetery in 1979.
