Airman First Class Gilley was a member of the 15th Troop Carrier Squadron, U.S. Air Force. On December 20, 1952, he was a radio operator on a C-124 Globemaster transport departing Larson Air Force Base, Grant, Washington. The aircraft crashed on takeoff. Ninety personnel on board perished. |
