USMA Class of 1945, Captain Pratt was the pilot of a F-86A Sabre Jet fighter bomber with the 334th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron, 4th Fighter-Interceptor Group. On November 8, 1951, while on a combat mission of escorting a RF-80 photo reconnaissance aircraft near Sinanju, Korea, his flight of four F-86s was attacked by ten to twelve MiG-15s. He was listed as Missing in Action and was presumed dead on December 31, 1953. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. |
