Staff Sergeant McFee was a crew member of a B-26B Invader bomber with the 8th Bomber Squadron, 3rd Bomber Group. On May 21, 1951, while on a day interdiction of the enemy, his aircraft ran out of fuel and crashed 30 miles north of Susa, Korea. The crew bailed out. He was listed as Missing in Action and was presumed dead on January 31, 1954. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. |
