Captain Clark was the pilot of a F9F-2 Panther Jet fighter with the Marine Fighter Squadron 311, Marine Air Group 33, 1st Marine Air Wing. On December 5, 1952, while on a combat mission, as his aircraft dove on a target, it was hit by anti-aircraft fire, exploded and crashed. He was listed as Missing in Action and was presumed dead on December 14, 1953. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. |
