Ensign Noonan was the pilot of an AD-4 Skyraider dive bomber with Attack Squadron 115, aboard the aircraft carrier USS PHILIPPINE SEA (CV-47). On November 27, 1950 during a snowstorm, his aircraft crashed into the sea. His body was not recovered. |
