Ensign Sullivan was the pilot of a F9F-2B Panther Jet fighter with Fighter Squadron 191 aboard the carrier USS PRINCETON (CV-37). On May 6, 1951, his aircraft received a direct hit by anti-aircraft fire near Koto-ri, Korea and exploded in midair near Hongmun-ni. He was listed as Missing in Action and presumed dead on May 19, 1954. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. |
