Lieutenant Lee was the pilot of a F2H-2 Banshee jet fighter with Fighter Squadron 11 aboard carrier USS KEARSARGE (CV-33). On December 30, 1952, while attacking camouflaged supply buildings east of Majon-ni, North Korea, his aircraft was struck by anti-aircraft fire and crashed. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. |
