Corporal Tillman was a member of Company C, 1st Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He was seriously wounded by the enemy in South Korea on August 15, 1950 and returned to duty on October 13, 1950. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in South Korea on November 26, 1950. His remains were recovered on September 4, 1998 and was identified on April 13, 1999. CPL Tillman's name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. |
