Corporal Bolden was a member of Company C, 1st Battalion, 38th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He was taken Prisoner of War while fighting the enemy in South Korea on January 5, 1951 and died while a prisoner on April 30, 1951. His name is permanently inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. CPL Bolden's remains were later recovered and then identified in 2014.
