Private First Class Meyer was a member of Company I, 3rd Battalion, 180th Infantry Regiment, 45th Infantry Division. He was seriously wounded by the enemy in North Korea on June 7, 1952 and returned to duty on June 9, 1952. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on June 14, 1952. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. |
