Corporal Krepps was a member of Battery D, 82nd Anti-Aircraft Artillery (Automatic Weapons) Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division. He was seriously wounded while fighting the enemy during the defense of the Pusan Perimeter on September 15, 1950 and returned to duty on October 8, 1950. He was taken Prisoner of War by the Chinese near Kunu-ri, North Korea on December 1, 1950 and died as a prisoner on September 30, 1951. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. |
