Private First Class Higdon was a member of Company E, 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division. He was taken Prisoner of War while fighting the enemy near Unsan, North Korea on November 2, 1950 and was killed by a guard on November 30, 1950. His remains were recovered on June 2, 2004 and identified on April 26, 2010. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. |
