Sergeant Heider was a member of the 8202nd Army Unit, Korean Military Assistance Group (KMAG). He was listed as Missing in Action while advising the South Koreans near Hyo-ni, South Korea on May 18, 1951. He was presumed dead on March 11, 1954. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. |
